The Cat Who Walked Through Time II

Cover designed by Carolyn Edwards

Following the success of the first volume of The Cat Who Walked Through Time, the editors have embarked upon a sequel to the cat-themed anthology. The proceeds from the sales of this fanzine will go towards spaying and neutering many homeless and feral cats living in colonies in and around the Greater Cincinnati Tristate area in a proven, humane effort to control the cat population. The first volume raised $1,800 and has to date spayed and neutered over 40 cats. This time we are aiming to team up with UCAN (The United Coalition for Animals), a state-wide non-profit organisation that strives for the rights and humane treatment of all animals and offers low-cost spay and neuter vouchers to those families with low incomes.

Please - spay or neuter your pets!

February, 2004: The layout for the fanzine has almost been finished; prior technical difficulties in achieving this goal were resolved (with much gratitude) with the help of Kate Orman. The final product will be directly printed from a .pdf file created from the original documents. This will eliminate distortion and prevent bad reproduction of artwork. We're aiming to have pre-ordering in place by April.

We are still receiving enquiries as to whether there are any more copies of the first volume available. We regret to say that all 300 copies are long sold out; and it is unlikely that it will be reprinted; if anything changes however, we will let you know.

Note: We are not going to be producing a third volume. This will be the second and last fanzine we're going to edit.

We are at this time putting together an audio CD of 3 selected stories from the first volume of CWWTT, read by Kate Orman, Jon Blum and Arnold Blumberg, for optional inclusion with this second volume. The prices of the fanzine will reflect this optional inclusion (estimated to be probably around $20 and $25 respectively).

If you would like to get the latest updates, we have set up a mailing list for all those involved with, or otherwise interested in being kept up to date on, the new anthology. It is invite only (to prevent spam), so if you would like to be added or have any questions about the fanzine itself, please email me at alryssa@empty-spaces.net for an invitation. Please ensure you have 'CWWTT' in the subject line of your email, or it will likely be rejected as spam.
